The California Building Standards Code is a part of the Ventura County Building Code.
The County of Ventura uses the 2019 edition of the California Building Standards Code (California Code of Regulations, Title 24). These codes will remain in effect through December 31, 2022. For permit applications submitted after December 31, 2022, the applicable State Codes are the 2022 California Codes.
The California Building Standards Code includes the California Codes, which have been amended with certain provisions for construction projects in the unincorporated areas of Ventura County.
