Making A Complaint

There may be times when you want to make a complaint but don’t know who you should contact. Making a complaint through the right channels could result in a better outcome for you, and may help improve things for other people, too. Please don’t be reluctant to come forward if you feel something is wrong. Below, you can find a list of possible complaints with links to information regarding that type of complaint.

The first thing you need to do is to find out if you’re living in the unincorporated area of Ventura County or within a city. This is important because the County of Ventura has limited authority within city limits, and if you have a city compliant, you should contact that city and not the County. There is a quick way to find out if you’re in a city or in the unincorporated area of Ventura County.
