A septic pumper truck, is a vacuum truck which removes septage wastes from septic tanks, cesspools, and chemical toilets (portable toilets), for disposal at an approved septage disposal location. All septic pumper trucks operating in Ventura County are required to obtain a permit to operate from the Ventura County Environmental Health Division.
Vehicle Inspections
All septic pumper trucks require an inspection for annual permit renewal. To schedule an inspection, please call the inspection hotline at 805/477-7136. Leave your name and phone number. You will receive a follow-up call from an inspector to schedule your appointment within 48 hours. On your appointment day, bring your vehicle with your invoice and payment to the Ventura County Government Center at 800 South Victoria Avenue, Ventura for inspection.
Monthly Pump Reports
Vehicles pumping septic tanks are also required to submit monthly reports to the Environmental Health Division which document pumping locations and amounts. See the link below to obtain the monthly pumping report form. Annual permits for these vehicles cannot be issued unless the monthly report forms have been submitted.
