Public Counter

The Environmental Health Public Counter staff provides information about Environmental Health programs. The Counter staff accepts permit applications related to food facilities, hazardous materials, underground fuel tanks individual sewage disposal systems, land use, and recreational health.

You can view the Counter Traffic Camera to get an idea of your wait time when visiting the Environmental Health Division customer counter.

The Environmental Health Public Counter is located on the 3rd floor of the Hall of Administration at the County Government Center Complex.

Hours of Operation

General Inquiries:

Monday thru Thursday - 7:30 am to 5:00 pm

Friday - 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

Appointments are recommended

Food Vehicle Inspection* hours:

8:00 am to 9:00 am & 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm

Monday thru Friday

*Inspections are also available at our East County Office in Simi Valley by appointment only. Call 805 654-2813 for more information.

Payment of Fees

Payments must be made in cash or with a check, payable to County of Ventura, Environmental Health Division.

The Division also accepts Credit Card payment for all fees.
